UP, UP AND AWAY
Revenue growth for the 50 fastest-growing companies from 2018 to 2020 ranged from 40% to over 900%. The average growth rate was 114%.
THE BIGGEST OF THE FASTEST
The graphic below looks at the 10 firms on the fastest-growing list that had the highest total revenue in 2020 — more than half of which are construction or construction-related companies. Also, two of the 10 biggest revenue companies are also among the 10 fastest-growing: Compass Group Equity Partners and USA Mortgage.
ROOM FOR GROWTH
When it comes to diversity among the fastest-growing private companies, there is room for growth. Only 14 of the 50 fastest-growing companies in 2021 are owned by women or minorities (or both). Here’s a look at the list by type of ownership.

Younger companies made up the majority of St. Louis fastest-growing companies, with 32 founded after 2000. Here’s a look at the list organized by the decades in which companies were founded.
EMPLOYMENT IMPACT
Together, the 50 fastest-growing companies employ more than 6,000 local employees and more than 18,000 employees total.
